The lyrics of a few songs I am currently in love with.

Hey I am not in your way
Hey no need to push me again
I know it's your day in the sun
Last time I checked he came to light the lamp for everyone
"relax Love" he said before he left
"take those hands away from your eyes
from where I stand you're in my sky

you must go must flee
for they will hunt you down
you and your unborn seed
in all of Gaul is there safety?

Les Saint Marie de la Mer
you will dance the ring
Marys of the Sea
the lost bride weeps
Les Saint Marie de la Mer
We will dance your ring

Hey there's a new Jerusalem
Hey you built a rock that's on sand
For now you have hijacked the Son
Last time I checked he came to light the lamp for everyone

"relax Love" he said before he left
"take those hands away from your eyes
from where I stand you're in my sky

I hear a voice and it says
"the red of the red rose is its own
and something no man can divide"
so St. Jermaine hear the prayer
of this supplicant
for two Scarlet women, Black Madonna

Les Saint Marie de la Mer
you will dance the ring
Marys of the Sea
the lost bride weeps
Les Saint Marie de la Mer
We will dance your ring

Hey I am not in your way
Hey no need to push me again
I know it's your day in the sun
I know it's your day in the sun
Hey I am not in your way
Hey no need to push me again
Oh, I know it's your day in the sun
Last time I checked he came to light the lamp for everyone

“Would you like to go out tonight?”
said Tristan to Iseult.
“It’s a lovely night
to go to the Odeon;
sit in the back row.
Sick of staying in.”

So they threw on some clothes,
walked slowly down the street,
lit by lantern light,
through the market square,
studied the marquee,
bought two tickets and some popcorn.

And on the screen the hero stands,
the female lead, hand in hand,
and says,
“God I love you,
but you trouble me.”
She pushes him away.

And as the credits role,
Tristan turned to Iseult,
said, “What did ya think?”
“It was okay, I guess.
That story’s pretty old.
It’s a bit clichéd and hackneyed, I thought; I thought.”

And back out on the street
they stopped for some ice cream.
Talking quietly,
there was nobody
in the room in which they sat,
as he reached across the table.

And just as their fingers caught,
timidly, he whispers to her
and says, “God I love you, but you trouble me.”
Said Tristan to Iseult.
Said Tristan to Iseult.
Said Tristan to Iseult.

Out on the wiley, windy moors
We'd roll and fall in green.
You had a temper like my jealousy:
Too hot, too greedy.
How could you leave me,
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too.

Bad dreams in the night.
They told me I was going to lose the fight,
Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering Heights.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh, it gets dark! It gets lonely,
On the other side from you.
I pine a lot. I find the lot
Falls through without you.
I'm coming back, love.
Cruel Heathcliff, my one dream,
My only master.

Too long I roam in the night.
I'm coming back to his side, to put it right.
I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering,
Wuthering Heights,

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh! Let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.
Ooh! Let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.
You know it's me--Cathy!

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!

That's about it. Love all the songs. Tell great stories. I'm definitely a sucker for narrative songs.
Check out Colin Meloy's Myspace for "Barbara Allen". Excellent ballad.
