[Anne giddily turns on the device and sits at her desk, giving the device her brightest smile.]

City, there's someone I want you to meet!

[She leans down and, with some indistinct cajols, pulls a puppy onto her lap.]

Yes, one of your most loyal knights! Or he will be in the future, unless your Camelot is terribly different from the one I read about, which is entirely possible. But in the stories I've read, he's one of your strongest and most devoted knights, so I thought it would be appropriate.

Isn't he darling?

Anne, a puppy is a lot of work. And Will, Will, and Merlin already require a lot of looking after...

I'll look after him myself, I promise! I'll feed him and train him and take him exploring the entire City! You won't have to do anything more, I swear. It's not like I have anything else to do with all my time.

There is meaning in it. Tommy's the name of a friend of ours who has completely white hair just like the dog. It makes sense if you knew him.

[See the puppy scrambling up on Kate's lap and sticking his nose down her shirt.]

No, Tommy, no! I told you to stop that!

[Anne still doesn't think that's quite special enough for such a unique looking dog, but she accepts that reasoning anyway. Besides, he's too adorable to focus on anything else.]

How long have you had him?

Isn't he? He's going to be very heroic when he grows up!

Isn't it? I knew that was the name for him the moment I saw him. It just felt right.

['Oh, what a cute dog!' Is what he'd say if he were mentally ill and had no control over his mouth. Alas he'll just stare.

Fortunately for you, Lassie barks at the image of the dog.]

Thank you! It just came to me the moment I saw him! Everyone has a true name, you know -- the name that fits their very soul. It's not always the name your parents give you, although if you're lucky, it is.
