Doesn't have quite the same kick as the title Waiting for Godot, now does it? But that's what I'm doing - sitting here watching the guys outside waiting on the cement mixer so they can finally pour the new porch floor. And hoping we don't get anymore passing showers today, though of course it looks cloudy. Not good.
I almost missed the fact that Psych returns tonight, which gives me a four-way conflict at 10 pm Wednesday nights, and makes that the busiest hour of television the entire week for me. Ridiculous! So we'll watch American Horror Story, dvr Revenge, dvr Luther when BBCA reruns it at 1 am, and count on USA to upload Psych starting tomorrow. I can also get Revenge On-Demand, but after CBS failed to upload H50 two weeks ago (though we got this week's ep already uplaoded), I feel like I can't count on a lack of network glitches. At least with the USA shows, even if the episode fails to get uploaded (though USA has a good track record), the network repeats their shows a gazillion times throughout the week.
There are only two more episodes of Luther, but then BBCA premieres another series in their new Dramaville time slot that I haven't seen before, so I at least need to check it out.
So because the episode never got uploaded, I missed the H50 that aired two weeks ago - though from what I read, it didn't seem to be a wildly popular one. If it was anything like this week's episode, I can see why. I understand they need to mix things up, but I need more Steve/Danny time than I'm seeing right now with "new girl" in the mix, whose name I can't be bothered to learn and who officially bores me.
Seriously, CBS, I don't watch H50 for the plot. If I tried to do that, glean any actual sense of story-telling out of this show, blood would spurt from my eyes and ears. So if I'm not getting what I need out of the relationships, I'm outta here.
There does seem to be the smallest hint of an actual sting operation-like story with Kono, though. We know she can't be going bad, so I suspect she was asked to play like a burned cop who is pissed at the department because she's really working undercover. Which would make more sense if Kono wasn't still a barely out of diapers rookie, or wasn't like 12 years old. Funny how Grace Park seemed older on Battlestar Galactica.
Autumn Reeser is a doll, so I'm okay with her showing up as a new love interest for Danny, even though her character seems a little too young for him as well. This show does like it's women skirting jail bait. But I haven't checked the actors' real ages - maybe they're closer in age than it seems to me. Then again, I keep seeing her in my head with Ben McKenzie on The OC, so that could be why I keep thinking of her as a teen/young adult.
Suddenly there are more men in my backyard. Concrete must be here.
