Like it or not, you've got to give our LJ Overlords credit - they not only moved everything in the time frame they were shooting for, they managed to get it done in about an hour's less time. Yeah, the site worked a little sluggish for several hours after that, but it was up and running, and I don't see anything missing. Besides, I'm used to insanejournal running that sluggish every time I try to use it.
So we know for sure that Chuck's Jill is a Fulcrum agent. Not a shock, but I'm curious why the writers keep going to this well. Didn't we already do this a few episodes back with Sarah's high school nemesis? Is it going to turn out that everyone these people have ever known in their lives is a Fulcrum agent? Gotta say, I'm impressed by Fulcrum's recruitment stats. The CIA and FBI should be so successful.
At least now Sarah has a damn legitimate reason to go all Kill Jill on the skank. And it's more evidence that Bryce wasn't betraying Chuck with Jill back in college. He had to have known or suspected that Jill was a counter-agent and was, again, just trying to protect Chuck. Obviously Chuck should have hooked up with Bryce instead of Jill in college since the former loved him far more than the latter ever could or would. Plus, Bryce and Chuck had mad chemistry, where Chuck and Jill have none.
Speaking of killing, after Vic's cold and methodical, even at times egotistical, immunity-inspired admission of every crime he's committed over the last seven years, I've no doubt anymore that he is a Dead Man Walking. But the worst part is that Vic sold out Ronnie. Yeah, he thought he was doing it to protect Corinne, but he did it with no hesitation or even an ounce of seeming remorse. I can't imagine how Ronnie could get out now intact. Maybe in the end, he'll be the one to kill Vic for this last betrayal. That would definitely be poetic.
I know Shawn Ryan was confused by fans who thought overall that Vic was a good guy deep down, and I suspect the taped-admission scene was Ryan's parting shot to remind everyone that Vic is not the hero and never was. Like Vic said himself, "I've done worse." *gulp*
Next week's 90-minute finale is going to be wrenching.
