Yesterday I received a group email, one of those that has been forwarded many times, with the subject " Presidential Candidate and Platform." It ticked me off in many ways,so I sent this out as a Reply to All. It is time to speak out.
According to Snopes.Com, Bill Cosby denies this, and says that much of it is abhorrent to him. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/platform.asp
As a Christian, I find much of this offensive. What happened to "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone"? And what about the praise Christ gives to those who provide water and food and clothing for the poor and those in prison? The Old Testament often command us to take care of the strangers in a strange land, the aliens among us. What has happened to compassion, and hospitality, and charity? Those virtues are being obliterated.
And the WalMart policy is buy cheap, whatever part of the world it's made, and drive other businesses away.
