First Day!
So, my first day of class. I worked on my discussion question today and yesterday I guess, and posted it at about 11:30. I really had to hold off to post it too... I swear I can be such a nerd sometimes, but once I have something done and ready to go, it's hard for me to hold onto it. I'm glad I did though, because even though I was the first person in the class to post a response, at least it doesn't look like I woke up early on the first day of class to post something immediately. I tend to be an "ice breaker" of sorts, especially when it comes to classes online. So yeah, basically - nerd.
Today was a good day though. The boss was back at work, and we got a lot accomplished. I'm going to be in charge of a project to release this document locator service to the company, so that's exciting. I think he said that about 50% of my week was going to be spent on this particular task. I'm looking forward to the responsibility, even if it is something stupid as this. I like to be the expert on things, and since this is a new product, I'm glad to take on the job! I'm also supposed to be making changes in an existing document, but I think that's kind of on the back burner for now.
I went to lunch with my mom - Olive Garden. It was fantastic. I'm glad I get to hang out with her a lot, and that we can talk as friends. I don't think a lot of parents have that type of relationship with their kids, and it makes me really happy that I'm as lucky as I am. We may argue or get mad at each other, but that's only because we are so similar :) Well in some aspects at least.
Job 2 was okay, I ended up leaving early due to a horrible headache. Early meaning 9pm. Ugh. I can't wait to be done with that job. It's really starting to be a pain, literally. Although, today, my headache did start at Job 1, so I can't really put all the blame on the second job. It was an okay day there...I only did 12 emails though. The boys were running around throwing paper balls at each other, and the boyfriend and I bounced a ball back and forth between us at our cubicles. Overall, it was a fun day, minus the headache of course.
When I got home, I was so happy to see the roommate here! I hardly ever get to see her, so when I do, it's a real treat. We watched the season premiere of Nip/Tuck... a show that I've never really gotten into, but still always enjoy when I watch it. I can't understand half of the crap that goes on... well, the meaning behind it. Sometimes I just don't understand human nature... or is that human nature? I like to think of myself as human, and all the other humans I know are relatively moral/sane. I dunno, I just don't think that half the stuff on that show is real to anyone. I hope not, for their sake.
Anyway, I have to be getting to bed. I'm going to try to get up early to shower... hopefully humidity will die down so that my hair isn't the usual frizz-ball.
