The prompts for the latest round of springkink were just posted at the comm. This time I am going to be realistic about the deadlines, and sign up for no more than 2 or 3 of the prompts. I was immediately drawn to only 1 or 2, but I know when I take another, longer look at the choices, I'll yearn to sign up for mroe.

I know, right? I haven't written YnM fic in years, and a couple of the prompts have made it to my shortlist I don't know why I make a shortlist each round. It's been ages since I've actually managed to write something for SK.

There's something about a new prompt - it sparks an idea, an inspiration, something - and can magically bring a fandom back to life.

I'm glad you're making a shortlist, whether fic is produced or not. If it produces any sort of inspiration, it's worth it.

My shortlist has 1 Naruto, 1 Yami no Matsuei, 2 Weiss Kreuz and 5 Bleach. Either I'm cutting it waaaay down or some of these will only be drabbles.

Don't burn out over all of this: usually a good number of Saiyuki prompts get filled with each round. I still remember fondly the Jeep/Nii's bunny prompt written in the last round.
