Crimes against humanity

Working in the news business I am exposed to stories of death, destruction, crime, punishment, war, injustice, bad weather, you name it, daily. Today however, we ran 3 stories, 2 in our 4pm show and one in our 6pm show, that really got to me. Those stories are so sad. Especially the one about the Chinese children. It's terrible because these kids don't experience a childhood. This is like some nightmarish version of the 'stage' parent. But at the same time, you do feel some amount of pity for their condition, because they're trapped in a vicious circle.

Great about the gas prices, though. :)
