Yeah the weekend is here!!! I enjoy the military, but hate the beauracracy. (so I can't spell either) lol. I was planning on turning in obsolete clothing (lots) and 1st it is okay turn it in, then only turn in the new stuff, then no take it all to another place turn it in to be destroyed, then no go through 300 soldiers records and turn it in ( Read more... )

"It is often an either or situation when it comes to posting. It is either I post on facebook or I post on livejournal. Of course livejournal is more personal. You write and get it out of your system, what ever gripe you may have, then your done and you don't want to write anymore about that specific incident. That is how it works for me."

I relate to the above more than you know & this is why I refuse to "create another space" on the WWW......I hope your thumb heals as quickly and trouble free as possible....did you have to get any stitches?

Many hugs from Washington!

No stiches, the miricle of modern medicine; crazy glue. They just glued my thumb together. You make me want to write, I like that. I am glad you have not given up on me, ie being a lackluster friend. I will try to spend more time reading and respond to your post.

D'oh! I forgot --- the whole "glue" phenomenon seems so "odd" to me......as if glue isn't as "strong" as thread......or hair......

My Mom's Boxer was cut open along the length of his body and they glued him "back together" seems profoundly unsettleing to me that glue was strong enough.....but it was.....

I guess I'm a bit "old fashioned" like that; and I'm thankful it was your thumb you cut and not another finger more active in the "typing" process!

Many blessings & many hugs always from WA!

Thank you, your sweet. I may be a bit old fashion myself, but give me glue any day, forget the needles; lol

Needles & I are like oil & water - I can't give blood b/c I've tried and my blood pressure just sky rockets!

I'm not in any way proud of this -- and when I took a voluntary HIV test in college - I had to have a butterfly needle & a vacuum b/c my veins just wouldn't cooperate! It was profoundly embarrassing; and I just feel so poorly when there are blood drives.....

I find myself lying and making up a more "acceptable reason" like I'm sick or I'm taking medication.....*blush*.....

I'm in no way proud of this.....but it is what it is!

Namaste,
Ashley

You have my complete understanding. I have hated shots all my life. The only blood that comes out of this body is by accident. I didn't like needles as a kid, and after a military trainee broke a needle off in my arm and it became a gusher, I definatly don't like needles. I'll spare you the gory details. At least I don't faint, not yet anyway.

I'm not easily squeamish - there is a scientist w/in me that literally chops, dices & slices fish & animals to liquid pulp every Tuesday; when I volunteer at the Aquarium!

That said - wow - you win the award for have a legitimate excuse for hating needles!

I'm so sorry that happened to you......and if it had been me I'd have passed out for sure! The horror! OMG!

I'm profoundly sorry that you had to experience that......and to be the poor military trainee.....it's an equal empathy for both of you.....but more so for you b/c I know you & thank you for being a part of my life and for being my friend!

Namaste Always!
