Hotep shed his skin yesterday :) I just spent a good while trying to compare the snakes' patterns with those in the shed skin and even if I hoped it was him (especially since the last two skins have been from Ankh), I couldn't be sure without checking since the skin was remarkably intact. Usually with him the it ends up in small shreds all over the terrarium, this was the first time I remember getting most of it in one piece. The patterns are a bit hard to see in the shed skin but they are there and Ankh and Hotep have so different patterns from each other that there's no question about it - Hotep it was. I'm really glad it was him because it was a high time and maybe he'll actually eat when I next offer him a rat. I really have to try to do that soon, tomorrow if at all possible (i.e. if I'll realize what time is it early enough to get it done before my darling has to go to sleep). Today they have finally been both somewhat active, signalling they might be getting hungry :) It's such a worry when he refuses to eat, even if it's perfectly natural with ball pythons. It's Ankh really who is abnormal, eating with good appetite almost no matter what...
