Australia and Back

So I'm back from my 2-week trip to Australia.  It was pretty awesome.  Getting there, not so much, but once there, I had a great time.

My arrival was delayed by 3 days because of winter weather.  But then I was able to extend the trip by 3 days on the other end, so it all worked out.  Highlights included a Christmas barbecue on the beach, the Great Barrier Reef, the rainforest up by Cape Tribulation, the entertainment in Melbourne, the Bridge Climb in Sydney, New Year's fireworks, and, of course, hanging out with my brother.  And, okay, the cricket was actually pretty cool.

The BridgeClimb -- that's me atop the Sydney Harbor bridge:

It was a fantastic experience.  But as a sign of how quickly I got acclimated to being back home... today I noticed that the forecast called for high 30's and thought "Oh, that's pretty warm, should be a good day to go out."  And, no, not that I was thinking Celsius -- I so quickly got used to the winter weather here that high 30's sounded relatively good.  It turned out to be mid-40's I think.  Almost tropical.
