The Scrabulous Facebook application is giving me problems. Facebook repeatedly assures me that these "kinks" will be "ironed out;" however, I can't help but remember a time when Scrabulous worked just fine. It didn't delete my games. It especially didn't delete games in which I was nearing a score of 300, which I've never actually reached before.
And here I am, bitching about a computer game.

Zombie Prom this week, Wednesday through Saturday at 8pm, and a Sunday matinee (ugh) at 2pm.
Just hosted High School Theatre Day, too. Those kids sure showed us some lovin'. There's something about nerds and zombies, I guess.
It's not high art, but it sure can be a rush, a shoddy crate of solid fun. (And it's my final performance of college. Mwaaa...)

Had a great walk on Sunday with Lauren, some fine talk, too; it ended with a warm cup of tea and blended right into a glorious Sunday afternoon. Blocked over half of Rain that day, too. The stoking has begun. Directing is a great mix of Zen and zip-zap-zop: a nick and a blam and a smudge wiped away, and crosses and pauses and breaking and "How does this go" and you've got an answer, and you watch it all evolve before you like bread rising, taking shape and growing and warming and coalescing and expanding, and it's like choreography only you've got words to charge and a script to latch you to something. You feel none of the immense pressure that's on your shoulders, at least once you're in the groove, and you just keep rolling, man, like the leader of some great artistic caravan.
Been good times lately, is what I'm saying. I'm coming out of this two-month funk that grew from under the snow and ice and stress, and I'm realizing how much fun there is, lurking in the big shadow of this senior year. There's freedom and smiling in that.
