Apr 30, 2016 08:32

To be honest, this is just one gigantic day! So lets say day 0 and day 1 are just one thing.

Somewhere above China.

Day 7: Odaiba & Tokyo Tower

Day 9 & 10: Universal Studios Japan & Hometime

I didn't sleep at all before my trip due once again to nervousness but also because I left everything to the last minute again and was screwed XD. I still managed to forget some stuff.

The Glasgow to
Amsterdam flight was uneventful, plus I slept through most of it... missing the free sandwich which making my stay in Schiphol a bit bad ^^;;
Anxiety levels were really high and I just ended up wandering around looking at stuff but not buying anything or even feeding myself...D:
This also meant I screwed up buying gifts for anyone, sorry guys :( I did see some nice stuff like whiskey inside a Dutch blue porcelain bottle and mint chocolate but I suck.

My wonderful view at Schiphol for 2 hours.

Now, I was set to meet up with my buddy tutu in the morning when I arrived, but nope my plane was delayed by an hour by two old ladies and a bunch of wind xD.
Then something weird happened, I have a friend in the Netherlands called Saskia and her creepy doppleganger decided to show up at the airport. This would be fine, but this woman had the same fashion sense, hair colour, glasses and was even tall and skinny like my friend. For a while I was even thinking it was her and she was playing a trick on me XD She also kept looking at me and appeared everywhere I was going too.. argh.
The flight itself was the longest I've ever been on, clocking in at 12 hours, I couldn't sleep much either which didn't help, and the movie selection was pretty lame, apart from THE HATEFUL EIGHT which was really great!!! Shame I had to watch a 70mm film on a crappy screen on the back of a seat.. the other was point break and hahhahah glad I didnt go to the movies to see that.

Spot Mt.Fuji for a prize.

At last I arrived and made it through customs, avoided the creepy doppleganger and got outside to look for the post office. I had ordered a pocket wifi to hopefully fix any problems I had getting lost like last time, but then I got lost trying to find the post office :D Eventually I found it, and made my way down to the bus area (where the doppleganger was :|) to get the shuttle bus to meet Tutu, some American guy asked the driver for directions and she LEAPED out of the bus and pointed the right way. There must be a regulation about not wearing the drivers hat outside because she took it off and there was a perfect circle of hair to fit under the hat. This is when I released I was in Japan, such service :D
I met Tutu in her terminal and we got ready to get our N'Ex express train to Tokyo \o/ I also connected the wifi and kaboom, 50 messages wondering where I was xD Tutu also gave me some
Fazer chocolates!!!! So kind ;___;

We got to Tokyo station after a really nice ride, and Mari Iijima even emailed me on the way to let me know her schedule for travelling, so nice!! Then we met up with twissie who helped me out so much with getting tickets for Mari's concert on Saturday, then even helped us put away our luggage so we could do stuff until check in time (she is so nice!!!! THANK YOU ;____; )

We rode together with Twissie to Kanda, who unfortunately had to go but we'll see her later, and we went straight for AKIHABARA (priorities, right?) as Tutu had a dvd set she really wanted to get. We went into AKB48 Shop and Yodabashi and neither of them had them so we headed for Shibuya to find a sign with Tutu's fav idol on it, lol. Unfortunately it wasn't there, but we found the dvd set in Tsutaya and had a look in Tower Records (no Gachapin dvd there for me though...).

Of course there were interesting things for me in Akiba too :D

Next, we headed back to the Tokyo station area to get our luggage, and also we were getting pretty hungry and it was getting late.  We stopped by the Imperial Theatre as Tutu wanted to see the poster for the show her fav idol is in, so we went there! We then got our luggage and travelled down to Kannai in Yokohama, where our hotel was. My tiredness level was critical as I kept falling asleep STANDING UP several times and I had to keep catching the handle again...glad we finally got there!!

Here is the poster :D

We got to our hotel after making a couple of pit stops at konbinis along Kannai's pedestrian area, which had tons of Children's Day fish decorations running across it. We went this way because unfortunately our hotel is right in the middle of about 50 hostess bars and strip clubs so XDDD we didn't know this until after we booked. This should be hillarious at night time!!

I passed out pretty early so I wrote this entry as I've been awake since 3 lol Saturday should be pretty good!!

2016, adventures, tutu, japan
