Funeral for a friend
Last night, I got a very concerned phone call. At first I thought it was a friend screwing with me, but as it went on, I realized that it was no joke. I've never heard anything like it... "I need to tell you something... Chad died on Saturday". It didn't sink in until I looked on the Lansing state journal website, and found the obituary. "Hiner, Chad Michael, 20, maintenance worker and student, died Saturday." How do you take that in!? Tonight Frank, Chris, Pete, Josie, and I drove to east Lansing for the viewing. It doesn't really take its toll on you until you see the person spoken about laying there in a casket absolutely lifeless. It's hard to think to yourself that is the last time you will ever see this person ever again. I hope he's found a better place, and hopefully after we pass we'll be able to see him again.
