Webcam fun!

A friend of mine gave me his second-hand iTouch for Christmas, and, being the software nut that I am, I have since filled it up with all kinds of tools and utilities. One of these is the utility 'Webcam', with which you can view webcams from all over the world. I've really become addicted to watching all these cams. For someone that has read her share of apocalypse science fiction stories, and freaks out whenever someone says "according to Nosferatu the world is ending in a week", it is really reassuring to see the sun is rising all across the globe and a new day is underway. :)

I also felt really triumphant when I discovered through the webcam pointed at the Eiffel tower that they turn off the lights on it every night ;)

Now my favourite webcam is the webcam at the famous Abbey Road pedestrian crossing. It refreshes every 5 seconds so you can see people walk up and down the street. So far though, I haven't seen any Beatles fans cross the street in 'Abbey Road style'! If you're bored - help me look. I'll be thrilled to see a saved jpg of people geeking out :)
