Ace Is In The 2010 Calendar
You may recall that even with your help (and thank you again!), our beloved Ace Hollywood fell ten dollars short of winning a spot as a calendar boy for his rescue league - at least, for a full-page shot. But he did make it in as the first dog of the first month in a little photo on the page which has the actual calendar squares. You can see him in a PDF sample here, running through the snow as the first of three snow dogs on the January date page.
Foster, the dog we fostered in early 2008 before Ace arrived, also got a similar placement, lolling on his back as the first of three small portraits on the date page for May.
If you would like to order a calendar, you can via paypal or several other methods. They are $17 because this is how we (the Rescue League, not Savant and I) make money to do surgical repair of some of the very damaged dogs who come in to us. Poor Ace, for example, got about a $500 subsidy, iirc. Savant and I took a big hit personally for his medical expenses. His former daddy, who enjoyed him 12.5 years, never made good on his promise to pick up the cost of the medical problems he had let grow out of control. Grrr.
