When you don't know an answer...
We shouldn't know everything even if we are talking about something we do everyday.
So, if I know the anwer, I'd say:
"Good question! Thank you..." or "Thanks for the question!.."
But if I don't know what to say (though I shouldn't let this happen), I can say something like:
"To be perfectly honest, I'm afraid I don't have an answer for you. But let me get back to you with an answer tomorrow. Is that alright?"
"Why don't you leave me your contact info and I'll have an answer for you by tomorrow"
