Cape Breton is a little odd; there are very few cockroaches on the island, and they're largely contained to a couple buildings. Last summer, however, we found some arboreal cockroaches in Peter's Field. I can't recall what species they are, but they're an outdoor species that doesn't inhabit buildings, but still aren't native. Today while out in Peter's Field taking some photos, I spotted one on a leaf... but wasn't able to get a shot of it before it flew away due to gusts of wind and trying to get to the right settings and focus. Luckily, I was able to spot about half a dozen more on the leaves and get a couple shots :)

365 project, non-native, cockroaches, insects
