Getting back into that posting thing

Ahh, Bank Holiday Monday, how much I love you. I love Saturday. I appreciate Sunday the way you do a good restaurant that serves great food, but it's popular, so they try to rush you out of the place after an hour, just as you're starting to relax and thinking about cheesecake and cappuccino. Monday will be spent the same way I spent Sunday - lie ( Read more... )

I'm going to see how the DW thing pans out. I'd love for there to be a fandom lj equivalent so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for them ( ... )

Hmm, definitely sounds like I'll have to give Mad Men another shot. One of the things I love most about Criminal Minds are the great female characters. Logically, I know Mad Men is supposed to show how women were treated and the way they thought, but it was very off-putting; I did wonder if it was male writers having a fantasy come to life on screen.

It's not exactly brilliant weather here. Mmm...soup...

Oh, me too, on the SPN thing - I'm making a point of not reading / hearing anyone else's comments, and am much better off for it.

I think any time a show dares to push the high-drama (which imo is what SPN is) envelope to the point this one does, it can provoke some pretty strong reactions. That's great, but, well, I don't want to hear 'em; I just want to decide what I do and don't enjoy without anyone else's feelings getting in the way ;-).

Nice to 'see' you here ... and it'll be even nice to See you there -- soon!

I'm finding it true of every show I'm watching, that it's so much more...restful not to read spoilers and comments. I guess that's a sign of being fannish about a show, when I HAVE to read what others are saying about episodes I haven't seen yet. It's very different from my obsession with SG-1, when I did more than my fair share of weeping and wailing... I think I prefer not being so passionate, I'm finding fewer grey hairs as a result of bad canon. :D

Looking forward to seeing you here, fingers crossed firmly crossed that I will, in fact, be seeing you and that dates will work out!
