perfectly at home :)

My parents just talked to me about their failures and setbacks, and those of their blockmates, back when they were studying in San Beda Law. Some got insulted during recits, failed subjects, had to change schools, or had to take the bar several times. But they all never gave up. Now, my dad is an Ambassador, my mom is a Law Professor and their friends are either judges, head of government offices, successful businessmen or practicing lawyers making hundreds of thousands per case!

They told me that law school can be tough and unpredictable. Some may study hard, but are unlucky. You read 29 cases and get called in the 30th. Or you may recite every word in the case, but the prof doesn’t give a grade higher than 85. Or some profs fail 2/3 of his class every year. “There are so many factors,” my parents told me, “and that’s why we understand and that’s why we would feel no disappointment if you had your own setbacks. But all that shouldn’t get you down.” Lakasan lang ang loob ko at laban lang.
The main goal is to pass the bar, be a lawyer and make your mark from there. :)
