Frequently Asked Questions!

I finally created a FAQ of the most commonly asked questions!  PLEASE REPLY TO THIS POST WITH ANY QUESTIONS YOU HAVE THAT MIGHT BE HELPFUL TO OTHERS!  YOU NEVER KNOW!

Q.  How did you get started, and how long have you been making wigs?
A.  I've been making wigs about a little over two years.  I started making them because I wanted some for my own and didn't want to pay 30.00+!  Especially when they don't cost anywhere near that to make them.  So I created Anji's Wig Designs so people could have access to custom and stock mohair wigs at reasonable prices!

Q.  Can I get a sample before hand of the colors?                                                                                                                       
A. Yes you can:  If you'd like to see the colors up close and personal before you order, you can get them via email.  It's 1.30 plus .90 shipping for a lot of 10 samples.

Q.  Do you wholesale?
A.  I only have one retailer in the U.S. and that is Junky Spot.  He will be the only authorized U.S. seller for Anji's Wig Designs.  For now, I can only handle one retailer anyway, and we both ship international ^_^

Q.  I would like a special custom colored wig, is that possible?
A.  Ofcourse!  I will be taking custom color orders randomly.  It depends on how busy I am at the time, people can drop me a line when I have commissions open.  Due to wedding preparations I will not be taking custom color orders till probably July, and only a run of 10 slots.  I have begun a huge order for an Doll Artist here in the US, and she'll be taking up quite a bit of my time!

Q.  I want a wig right now!  Is that possible?
A.  Of course.  You can visit my ebay shop or the Junky spot.  You may also ask to see if I have a certain color in stock, but I don't often have unlisted wigs or extra materials!

Q.  Do you have regular office hours?
A.  I do!  Monday-Thursday.  However during that time I am also making wigs, listing, and doing other aspects of my business.  So please understand if I don't get back to you right away!  Please do not call me!  I can be reached at:  anjiswigdesigns on ebay, and on Etsy under anjichan.  I have an email, but I only check it on Mondays!  daangeliquin [@] yahoo [dot] com

Q.  My wig doesn't seem to want to fit, is it defective?!
A.  No!  My wigs are created to be VERY snug, to help keep them on!  Give them a good tug, if they still won't go on you might have ordered the wrong size.  Contact me with your problem, and I'll see if I can't help you!  You can use a loop of tape to keep the wig on.  I used to use stick coating on the inside, but it stopped curing correctly.  You might also try rubber bands (around the skull cap), or velcro.

Q.  Do you accept returns?
A.  Returns:  Case by case basis, but here's the main points:
-  the item must be returned to me!  I think this isn't too much to ask, and I think I have the right to ask for the merchandise to be back in my possession before giving a refund and being out both the money and the merchandise.  the return shipping is at the buyer's expense!
-  The item must be in the same condition as when it arrived to you!  That means no washing, or cutting!  That means its been tampered with, and I'll be unable to tell if the wig is defective.
-  Sizes and colors.  I represent the colors best I can, and due to moniter variation, it may be a few shades lighter or darker based on that, as well as the color batch.  PLEASE check to make sure you're getting the right size, as I am not responsible if you order the wrong size!  If you have a doll with a 5.5in diameter head, and you order a size 5, well that doesn't make a lot of sense!  If you purchase the next size up, and are worried it'll be a little loose, drop me a  note in your paypal payment to down size it a little bit!  I have no problem in doing so!
-  Returns must be discussed with me within 3 days of receiving the item!  I think its unfair to ask after you've had it in your possession 1-2 months down the road, where I'm lucky if I still can get that color.
-  Lastly, I prefer to do exchanges, not refunds.  Being that I'll only take refunds if its defective, I think that's reasonable.  But if circumstance dictates that a refund is the best way to go, it can be arranged upon arrival of the defective item.  I will accept returns for wigs of mine bought from junkyspot.com!

Q.  Are these wigs wefted?
A.  No!  These wigs are made with the hair still on the skin.  They are made very much like fur wigs, so they are not wefted, and have no actual wig cap!  Please keep that in mind before ordering, because I won't accept returns due to that.

Q.  What forms of payment do you accept?
A.  I accept paypal only!  Any type, and please specify which type it is.  I don't accept cash, non-paypal credit, money orders, or checks, I've had too many issues!

Q.  How will my order by shipped?
A.  Your order can be shipped:
International:
airmail:  .90 per item  You will receive the customs number via email from paypal, as I have been doing.  But please realize it only works as a tracking number as long as they scan it, and they don't always do that.  Also, I'm not responsible for delivery times, I've seen it take as long as a month to arrive due to customs!  So please be aware.  If you want insurance, please ask for it.  Its your responsibility to get insurance.
EMS:  26.50
Please note that for insurance reasons I will no longer mark packages 3.00, but the full insured price.

This doesn't mean I won't try to help you if you have a problem, but I think it is your responsibility to get insurance for your purchase so that the proper paper work can be filed.

Q.  Will the color be exactly the same as the color swatch?
A.  Yes and no.  There will be slight color variations from batch to batch.  Also, different monitors will have slightly different color settings.  The color swatches are done by my suppliers, and the wig pics by me.  The photos match real life on my camera, and they remain the same on my laptop.  However just because they show correctly on mine doesn't mean they will on yours ^_^;

Q.  What is a color choice auction?

A.  It is a set of listings done when I have the time where the customer can choose to buy a color I don’t have in stock.  Please keep an eye on ebay for an opportunity to do this!   You may also put in an alchemy request on Etsy now!  Feel free to make an alchemy request for a regular stock color I don't have in stock, I don't mind!
