I DID go to U of T! I actually did my Masters degree there, so I didn't get to live in rez, but it's a GORGEOUS campus, and everyone's really nice, and I did see a few of the residences and they're beautiful. I have heard about the robes - they're for formal events, which depending on the college can happen once a week or maybe only twice a year; I think Trinity is closer to the former. *coughs*

I dunno that you'll see my picture anywhere, but if you feel inspired, you can always go to the Music faculty and introduce yourself! I worked a lot with Celia Cain, so she might be your best bet, if you're so inclined. *g*

But yeah, if you have questions about Toronto stuff, feel free to ask! I miss Toronto! What are you going to major in?

I'm going to the Arts and Science department. Officially, it says that I'm majoring in Economics, but I just can't wait to try out courses I've never had a chance to try/haven't even heard of!

When I'm sure I like Economics, I'll be major in that. XD

I have a friend on the waitlist for Music. What instruments did you play? Was it a hard music program?

U of T is such a great school! It wasn't really for me, because the Musicology program wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but it was a great experience, and I enjoyed most of my classes a great deal, and living in Toronto was one of the most enjoyable things ever. I lived at Bay & Wellesley, in this gorgeous high-rise, and I loved every second of it. I would go back to THAT in an instant (if I could afford it, haha!).

I actually did Musicology (music history and music anthropology, basically), so I didn't officially have a major instrument, though I would've gone in probably in jazz voice or maybe violin. I considered the opera program, but I can't sing German opera very well so that puts me at a bit of a disadvantage. The music program is extremely rigorous, but it's a great program, and from my understanding it opens a lot of doors since the professors are all very well respected.

You're absolutely right! It's called beerbistro and it's on King St. just east of Yonge, and it's amazing and has super-delicious food! I don't remember them having theme drinks though! o.o
