Wednesday night with the girls
Mmnngfdklgfdsjflskd. SO FULL.
Went out to dinner with cjmarlowe and litun, who is visiting from Montrèal, and ohhhh what a LOVELY time. We went to beerbistro, which is right down in Toronto's Financial district, and where I have been once, and
First off, the fact that it is a beer bistro means that the beer menu is CRAZY extensive, even more so than the menu itself, and the options are just...sdklgjfdlk. I don't drink like ever, but I had to try this Fruli Strawberry beer, which they had on tap, and gawwwwwd it was so good. Not malty or hopsy at all, which is good since really I'm not a big fan of beer at ALL, and not what I would choose to drink on one of the very rare occasions when I do, but this was like...low-alcohol and very very strawberry-y, and tasted like a daquiri almost, and...yeah. Will stop there. CJ had La Maudité, which was really yummy actually though the one sip I had was more than enough for me, and Nita had a scotch sour.
And then, the food. After a chat with Seph yesterday, I realised that I have never once had artichokes before, so I decided to fix that -- I had a beer-dough ham and artichoke heart pizza that was just......to die for, and of which I have leftovers to munch on tomorrow. I also got an order of Belgian frites, more because I really love the ketchup they bring out with it than anything else. I have a LOT of those leftover that I will likely never eat, but oh well. CJ got Steak Frites, and Nita got the Bistro Salad, and...sdlkjfsd. Deliiiicious food.
And DESSERT. Christalive. Nita got the crème brulée, which was all...orange-y and really quite delicious (thought nothing will beat the one CJ and I had at Wildfire. And CJ and I split the CHOCOLATE FONDUE nnnngghghfksdlgfdgdf. ORGASM IN A BOWL, I swear to god.
And of course, the conversation was fantastic, a nice mix of RL and fandom and other random stuff, and...yeah. Must do that muuuuuch more often. :D:D:D:D:D
And now, American Idol, and chilling. And I have packages to open! :D
ETA: EEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!11!! One package has my Rent DVD and Anthony Rapp's memoirs (Without You), and the other is my LATE CHRISTMAS PRESENT from rosie_red73 and it's the sheet music from Rent!!!!! *DANCES AROUND HYPERLY AND SQUEES*
