Tattoo Ideas - Image Heavy
Ok so this is random, since I totally cannot afford any more tattoos anytime in the near future. But I'm just writing all these down for the record, I had my ideas in a text file on my old laptop and lost them all, so I figure posting on the internet is a little more difficult to lose!
Grandpa Feet Tattoos
Left Foot: A really cute poofy yellow baby chick (My maternal grandfather's profession as a Tyson chicken health inspector let him take my sister and I to chicken houses whenever they had new baby chicks. We grew up playing with little puffball yellow cheep-cheeping baby chicks all the time with him and is my fondest memory) Something realistic looking I think, not cartoony. example:
Right Foot: a really scarey/mean looking arched black cat hissing (halloween cat) with "lucky 13" (this is identical to my paternal grandfather's navy tat) example:
Instep: possibly thinking of getting their names in some sort of neat font on my insteps "Frank" and "T.H.", respectively.
Shoulder Piece Ideas
Ok so I have several should piece ideas... and only 2 shoulders, lol.
I kind of want to get a tattoo referencing the song "Lydia the Tattooed Lady". My only idea so far is the part where he says "Godiva, but with her pajamas on" which I think is cute/funny. At the same time though, my feminist part of the brain says that putting pajamas on her defeats the purpose of her ride and the fact that Lydia the Tattooed Lady had to have a tattoo with pajamas instead of in the nude to mark that event is an example of female expression oppression... so I'm a bit torn on this idea. Thoughts? If I did go for it, my idea is something a bit like this, but with her in either sexified plaid flannel pajamas, or red-long johns with the butt flap open as she rides by.
I do love the side-saddle in this one though!
I also want to get my emerald sigil somewhere. I think it would fit best on my shoulder. This is the digital avatar version:
I really need to scan or take a picture of my drawn version. Those are tree branches around the emerald, and in the drawing they have 13 leaves.
I would like to get some piece of art by Rev. Don Lewis-Highcorrell. His lines are so simple and the art is lovely - I think it would translate well into a tattoo. So far this is my favorite piece for a tattoo, but he has so many that I will really need to go through everything before ever inking one.
I also really like the unique perspective of this:
Chest Piece
So, I probably won't ever get this one. Unless I just decide to say fuckit and go for getting as many tattoos as a secretly want! LOL - but my idea is two mermaids, one in like teal/green/yellow and the other in like magenta/purple/blue with their tails up on my shoulders and they come down to the center of my chest where they are opening either a big clam shell with a pearl (my birthstone-june) or a treasure chest with several life-relevant "treasures" in it. I don't really have any image examples of this idea.
Ass
I also really want a couple strips of bacon on my ass cheek but I have yet to find anyone whose bacon tattoos look good so I am holding off on that one.
Anywho - so there is my wish-list. Safe away on LJ now! :D
