Another weekend update on a Tuesday
Mondays are just too busy! LOL! Well this weekend was wonderful, it was so sunny! I couldn't believe it was February!
Lets backup to Friday, Chris and I finally finished watching ALL of Farscape! YAY! We even ordered the Peacekeeper Wars which is a mini-series/tv movie that wraps up the whole story. Season 4 ended rather abruptly! Jon and Aeryn get obliterated, then the season ends; and the show was canceled! Definitely needed the mini-series to resolve all the plots! It ends now with Jon and Aeryn holding their baby which they named D'Argo (cus D'Argo died) up to the window in Moya and saying "this is your playground" out to the stars. Wonderful!
Saturday Chris and I went on our normal shopping rounds that we do whenever we have a few extra bucks and an occasion to spend them! (Valentines!) We went to the Dream Maker and got a couple more soy candles for our glass votive in the bedroom, Chris got another silk cord for his Uruz rune necklace and another hematite ring, and I got this black wand bag with a white pentacle embroidered on it. I have picked that thing up literally EVERY time I go into that store, so I figure, its been a really long time and no one else has bought it, I keep touching it every time I'm in there, and my crystal wand really does need something to protect it from getting chipped in transport and such... sooo I decided it must have been meant for me! lol I also picked up some rosemary essential oil at Dream Maker. I was looking for something that was very multi-purpose, and rosemary is just that. I also go to the Huntsville Alabama Old Ways Association meet-ups and the one tomorrow Feb 16th is on blending oils. I have a few oils already, but just wanted a little something new to refresh my collection. :)
After Dream Maker we went over to the Mock Rd. shopping strip, home of 2 of our favorite shops. First we went to The Deep comic book store where I bought the 3 issues of Anita Blake Vampire Hunter that were waiting for me in my subscription box, and Chris got a really bad-ass Wolverine shirt! I also discovered while there that there is a Farscape comic book, still ongoing, that picks up where the mini-series left off. I picked up the first one and it starts with the scene I described earlier with Jon and Aeryn holding up baby D'Argo to the stars! Now I want to read that whole comic series! Ahhh!
Then we walked a few doors down to Pearly Gates Natural Foods for me to pick up my "Mothers Milk" organic tea that helps increase breast-milk production. It has lots of fennel in it so its tastes all licorice-y and good! Yumyum!
Sunday was the sunny fabulous day! We opened all the windows and doors and let the sunshine in! The cats enjoyed laying on the porch, and the dogs ran around in the yard all day. Talon really enjoyed having his swing outside and watching all the critters frolic about! Chris and I even tackled a couple of boxes in the garage and sorted through the clothes. We went in to lay down and "watch tv" at 5:30, and I was snoring out by 6! LOL
