It's been awhile....
I haven't been updating my journal much at all. I usually just browse different communities and such. So I thought I would start writing in my journal more often.
I will probably be posting more stuff about my upcoming wedding. It is in Oct '06 so I have lots to do :o) I am bound and determined to get some pictures on this thing... I just need to figure out how!
On Friday we had our company Christmas party. Yes, I know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet.... hehehe. But I will tell you why. My boss got us all rooms at a very old hotel in Spokane. It is called The Davenport Hotel. http://thedavenporthotel.com/
There is about 50 employees. He paid to have all employees plus a guest stay the night there. We also had the party at the hotel in the Marie Antonette Ballroom. Lovely cocktail hours and dinner with a DJ and dancing. It was a blast!! We all got dressed up in very fancy formal attire. He even had a photographer there to take our picture. It almost reminded me of prom. lol. I loved it! I got a little drunk, but hey, why not? We had breakfast in bed also. It was so wonderful! When we got to the hotel about 10 minutes later we got a delivery. It was some chocolate covered strawberries and a gift bag. In the bag was a beautiful christmas candle holder and a gift wrapped for myself and a gift wrapped for my fiance. We both got really nice watches. Can you believe that! In addition to this awesome party we got individual gifts!!!
My boss is so awesome! I really love my job! Something else that I thought was great, when we were all seated for dinner my boss went around and introduced everyone. He made a point to learn ALL of the guests names! For example... one of the people brought their sister (as she didn't have a date). So he introduced the employee and then said and this is so and so, employee's sister. He knew the relation of the guest to the employee's. I thought that was nice that he took the time to know everyone that came.
So anyways... that was my weekend. Such a lovely time!!!
