Out of the US airlines, the only ones I actively like that I've tried are Continental and US Air. Why? I need a seat belt extension and they have NEVER made me feel like I'm scum. All I need is about 2 inches, give or take, to connect it because the way the seat belts are positioned.

On my way home from San Diego last month, I was on a Delta flight that had overbooked...by like 20something people. Good job, team! And they were trying to find us places to sit. I barely got a seat. An emergency exit aisle. So I get settled in, get my seat extension, and oh...look. I'm fat and with an extension so I'm not allowed on those rows it seems. Myself and another heavier woman were forced to move our seats because of it. So I was humiliated while the attendant called out to the person in the seat behind me if he'd mind switching since I wasn't allowed to be there.

Not the same thing, by any measure, but the humiliation and degradation are deplorable on flights. And then the attendant acted like nothing was wrong. It was ridiculous and unnecessary. elrina573, a friend of mine, is a flight attendant and I'm curious to see her take after it's shown. Last I checked, it was the job of the attendant to, you know, attend.

Continental only flies out of Atlanta like 4 days a week. US Airway gave me more room (I could store my backpack under the seat, making it a carry on, while Delta's seats were too outdated) and consideration without being rude. Continental was just beautiful love when I went to Houston last year.
