Y'know, I was mildly intrigued and wanted to see the pilot to see what it was about. Even if it was to laugh at it - the likely outcome.

I really wanted to believe it couldn't get any worse, then they basically say that people like me need magically curing to be worth anything in society. Then there is the totally awesome bit about intimacy - because as a disabled person, surely I've never had intimate contact with another human being. /sarcasm

The thing is, I can't believe they don't know they're wrong. They cannot be this fucking ignorant. I think they'd just rather go for these ridiculous cliches that they find edgy.

I'm so glad I'm not a Stargate fan; it's always been about SGA for me, and now that it's done, I don't owe it to these assholes to support their franchise.

The trouble is, I really think they are that ignorant. I want them not to be, but so many things have happened now, all faith is gone.

That's what stings the most for me. I supported this franchise for ten seasons of SG1 and five of SGA, and this - and being told I'm too old - is just the worst and final insult.

I wouldn't even waste my bandwidth on it. As far as I'm concerned, Stargate ended at SGA, unless MGM ever see fit to grow some balls and hand the reins to another production company with a totally different writing staff.
