Okay, discovered via the internet a way to keep out spambots without captcha. It's kind of ingenious - basically create a hidden form field so that humans won't be able to fill it in, but bots will because they fill in everything. And then do a check to see if there's anything in the field, and if there is, reject it.

But this was after I sent the tech support request, so if that goes through and re-enables captcha, then I'll leave it, if not I'll try the alternative method and hope that works.

Doctor gave me stuff to put on the ulcers. Pain has gone down. Meanwhile I'm subsisting mostly on soft boiled eggs, mushroom soup and 100 Plus.
