(no subject)
getting really fed up with LJ
I have made a concerted effort to get used to some of their changes, but I *can't*. especially the new posting style. it hurts my brain and hurts my eyes and I can't make posts with that and keep switching back.
meanwhile for things like their new comment pages which have been here awhile, I'm not even migraine-prone in general, but they still threaten migraines when I'm trying to look at it in low-light conditions, like at night.
and once that and the friends-page feed gets forced on all users, idk if I could still stay on. :(
I've been on LJ so long and I'm reluctant to leave. but it's becoming a wasteland of late, with so many people gone, and there's starting to be less reason to stay. Dreamwidth is getting increasingly appealing. I have a currently-empty account there (also 'anivad'), and argh. A lot of the RP has moved to DW, too.
I might be shifting over at some point, but I'll leave this LJ up and continue crossposting if so. and maybe it might be a good move. symbolic of a new phase in life and all that. I'll have to figure out how to continue reading my LJ flist over there, though. not sure if it's currently supported.
apart from the f-list, the main reason why I haven't moved to DW is, er. because it's overly-red in its design, and feels too monochromatic. >_> WHICH IS A TERRIBLE REASON and anyway the actual journals are like LJ ones, and basically what LJ used to be before they started ruining everything.
