Adios
Not much time to write. I'm rushing around trying to get things ready. The store I work at is closing for summer shutdown and I am headed to Mom's for a week of vacation with Jeck.
The good news. I finished the morehouse merino scarf that I"ve been working on, it is blocking at home right now. AND Jeck's ballet t-shirt actually fits pretty well. I made it with 2 and a bit skeins of Red Heart cotton twist (that I got 3 for a $1 at a flea market last year - gotta love a $1 gift, huh?)
Anyhoo, I should have some good FO pics when I get back next week. I am teaching a glass painting class this weekend and I've made some pretty cool stuff as samples, will take pictures soon....
Also I am hoping that one of Mom's glass blowers will have time to give me a quickie intro to working with Borosilicate, I have only ever done torch work with Moretti and the like. Should be interesting, if its not too hot.
I also packed 3 different knitting projects (some slippers, my magic loop socks and the montego bay scarf) some sewing projects AND my needlepoint stuff. Who knows how much I'll actually get done, right now its nice just to have all the possibilities even though I know deep down I'll probably spend most of my free time helping mom cook. Oh well, the dream is making me happy right now.
