What Your Face Says

At first glance, people see you as strong willed and stubborn.

Overall, your true self is passive and thoughtful.

With friends, you seem thoughtful and interested in ideas.

In love, you seem energetic - almost manic.

In stressful situations, you seem cheerful and optimistic.
What Do People Think Of Your Face?

back from ou. have thoroughly fallen in love with the campus, and all the people are devastatingly nice. totally hit it off with this freshman bio sci major named erika. she told me to look her up next year. definitely one of those "yay i have a friend!" moments. luke was there, too, i didn't realize he'd gone all poli sci at ou. i tried to convince him to come to we the people next week, but he said he couldn't because he doesn't have a car.

the residence hall thing was a good thing to see, reed & johnson have sinks, crazy cool, recently renovated so they look really wonderful. problem is -- singles are few and far between. hoover, which i was gonna go for, is utterly slummy. like, normal slummy dormness i could have withstood for sylvia, but that? no. def the only thing it has going for it is the prolif. of single rooms. so we're hoping for a roomy who loves rats. because i'll be sad if she has to be baby sat all year. ~sniffle~

the first half of the interview went well, it's the second half of the interview i'm worried about. however, dr. debatin gave me his business card. that has to be a sort of good thing, doesn't it? seeing as how he's the director of studies for htc journalism. so we'll see.

also, mom and i went shopping at easton to give me a lift. went to california pizza kitchen (yum!) and nordstrom. i got another pair of those 3/4 black pants that i originally bought on haight and wear all the time to ffe. they were only $20. also bought a pair of 3/4 length jeans that kind of flare out. and a pair of 3/4 gray trousers with cargo pockets. was on my way out when i saw them. ever since going down to keeneland last year have been thinking i need to get a pair, and finally i do. i tried on another style first, but even the extra extra small (okay, you know you have some tiny teenagers when you're selling that) was too big in the waist -- prob because of the stretchy material. but these fit just right. also got a dark green cami for $12 and this cool brown kind of industrial style sweater with a lighter brown detailing in the hood and at the cuffs. so a very successful shopping trip, spent around $150. tried on two dresses, one at bebe, another at nordstrom, but both were too big. alas. the search continues.

but yes, ou was wonderful, i loved it much much much, i'm just very nervous that i won't get the spot. HOWEVER, mom keeps saying i have a feather in my cap for this, 60 people applied for honors tutorial college journalism, and only 20 were interviewed. so i'm top 1/3 anyway. from there, only 10, tops, people will be chosen. so from here my odds are 50/50, and they keep on emphasizing "fit" -- which i suppose is supposed to assuage our nervousness, but whatever. i felt thoroughly grilled. eat me for lunch.
