ok, I am more pissed off right now than I have been in a very VERY long time. Who the fuck gave Christians the right to preach to others about what they fucking read? I'm TIRED of this!!! The church I was in when I was 18 tried limiting what I read, by telling me I couldn't read my vampire, supernatural, romance....anything other than the Bible. I was talking to my cousin today and I gave her my Yahoo! e-mail address and she asked me why its
anita_blake24@yahoo.com instead of sunshine and I told her it was the main character in a vampire series I read. And this was the following conversation:
incubusdreams315: its the main character in a series of vampire books I read
fireflymagic: i hope you aren't into that stuff
incubusdreams315: yes, I am
incubusdreams315: its my favorite genre to read
fireflymagic: I thought you were a christian
incubusdreams315: claudia, I can be a christian and read books about vampires and other things
fireflymagic: ok as long as you only read abouy them and don't practice or believe in that stuff
incubusdreams315: I am a Christian but I feel that people have every right to believe how they want to believe. Just because they don't believe exactly what I do, doesn't make what they believe any more right or wrong or vice versa. It just makes it what I believe. I love everyone, regardless of their religion
fireflymagic: yes didn't mean to offend u maybe i misunderstood I was thinking on the line of gothic
incubusdreams315: I admit, I am a bit of a "goth" but that's only because the world doesn't have a lot of sunshine and daisies for me since Grandpa passed away. I still believe in God, I'm still a Christian, but I also believe in a variety of other things that are not part of the normal, Christian beliefs, only one of them being that everyone should be free to believe the way the want to.
