well i figure its good to write one last entry from work
well today's my last day at the herald. hm. i wonder what will happen if i want to come back next summer. i suppose that's just good incentive for me to write little letters to my editor and whatnot.
my editor dona gave me a photo frame and a way cute desk-frame. and rachel gave me cookies (which is an amazingly fitting gift).
so i'm kind of sad to be leaving. it feels a little surreal. i watched the graduation video yesterday, and that's a little surreal too--i mean, i may very well never ever be here again. and i spent every day here. except tuesdays. isn't that weird?
well i can rest assured that i was a good little intern though. i've always been pretty skilled at enjoying scut work, and this was journalistic scut work so it was fun! i'll miss typing all those plaudits.
and the south hills record guy like, massively dislikes his intern now since every friday she gets mysterious wasp bites and can't come in. gee, i wonder why the wasps only bite on friday. but i can't be too holier than thou about it, since i bet if i had a car i'd be tempted too. but still, i remember that valedictorian article she wrote in JULY...
but yup, its ending today. and that means in a few weeks i'll be in college...which will be weirder than life. but before then i need to hang out more with maritza, ally, erbujn, lauren, julie, laura, jackie, allysa, meetha, and most importantly my grandparentals.
have u ever seen those movie trailers or tv promos during sweeps that say "ITS ALL COME DOWN TO THIS!" with the dramatic music? well, i don't have dramatic music but i think that little phrase is applicable for leaving my media-center-away-from-home (herald) and trotting off into the sunset.
i should learn how to foxtrot.
