(no subject)
so i guess i don't really have to make this a friends only entry since i broke the news to everyone (my parents).
i think most of you know that i am adopted and that 5 years ago i found my birthmother. she told me that she has two other sons and i woke up the other day and out of the blue it occured to me that my chances of finding at least my younger brother on myspace were pretty good. so... i came home from work and did a search on myspace... and sure enough there was my younger brother.
i sent him a pretty cryptic message, i didn't want to say too much or freak him out, but i probably did anyways. my message was hilarious... i was like "if your mom is kathy then you are the michael i am looking for. you don't know me, but you might have an idea of who i am..." haha. it was really crazy now that i think about it.
long story short we exchanged a few emails and he dug for some more information and i gave him a little and finally i got an email from him saying that now he knew everything and that he was so excited and whatnot.
yesterday we talked on instant messenger all morning long and we exchanged phone numbers. we found out that we have a lot in common, we're both double majors, one of them being political science!! he loves bruce springsteen too!! we look a lot a like as well, it's pretty insane. he told me about our older brother ritchie who is 31... we exchanged pictures.
it's just insane. i mean, i never had identity issues with the adoption thing but i totally see where i come from. it's amazing. they both play tons of instruments and love music and sing... and ritchie with his tattoos and michael with the springsteen and political science thing. it's nuts.
i talked to michael on the phone for the first time last night, i think i giggled the whole time. i didn't even know what to say. i couldn't get over his southern accent! he told me that ritchie told him to tell me that even though he has never laid eyes on me or heard my voice or even knew i existed he loves me so much.
they are the sweetest boys i have ever met in my whole life.
i talked to ritchie for the first time on the phone today. it was incredible. he told me that when michael told him he had never cried so hard in his whole life and he kept telling me how beautiful i am. it was just sweet. he told me about his two little girls Chloe and Charlie. Chloe is 6 and Charlie is 2 months.
I don't even know if anything in this entry is coherent... there is so much to tell... i can't even remember it all. we have all been talking pretty much non stop since we found out.
