In the interest of saving time [read: being lazy], I am making mass posts in places to keep everyone in the loop!
I like to consider things 'new' instead of 'changed'... it sounds fresher... nicer... more positive. But whatever your word of preference, there are things different that I'd like to share.
First and foremost, thank you all so very much for your birthday cards/comments/e-mails/messages/phonecalls/hugs/etc. You have no idea how great it feels to see that outpouring of love. I didn't do much on my actual birthday, but I've attended a few smashing parties (a big thank you to Griff, Paul, and Tiny for the invitations), saw good friends, met a lot of amazing people, and am looking forward to the Biff Halloween coming up this weekend.
Nextly, I was hired as a flight attendant with Mesa Air Group. They are a growing, regional company that performs connections for companies like US Airways, United, and Delta. On November 26, I'll be flying out of Detroit headed for Phoenix, AZ for 4-6 weeks of training. Within the first week, I'll be assigned a base, or the city in which I'll be working. I only have a little say in that-- basically, I list my preferences and they try to give me the bases that I want based on availability and seniority. I'll let everyone know what base I get when the time comes. Yes, I'm nervous, and I am also extremely excited. Thanks to everyone who has already offered their love, support, and advice, I have no idea how I'd get through half of the things I experience without you, and I am so thankful that I don't have to!
If people want to hang out before I leave, that'd be fantastic. Just let me know when you're available and I'll do my very, very best to work something out!
