Wahoo, my first writing voyage into the Guild Wars universe has started! *dances* For you who don't know Guild Wars; it's an MMORPG. You just have to buy the game, then you can play for free. No monthly fees FTW! =D
For those of you who do know it; the main story will take place in Kryta, after the Charr have invaded Ascalon and laid everything to ruin. It focuses on a Necromancer/Ritualist called Ryousei Kochi (it's Japanese, look it up if you want - there's a reason he's called like that), and his compagnions Scareth (Ne/Me - curses) and Willo (Ne/Mo - Minion Master). This story is a prequel to the main story.
Disclaimer: Guild Wars and it's characters, skills, names etc are (c) by NCsoft Corporation. This is a work of fanfiction. No harm intended. Nothing official.
Ryousei Kochi and other original character (c) by Hayazaki Iroke
Scareth (c) by the original player of Scareth
Willo (c) by the original player of Willo
Scareth & Willo used with permission.

Comments: C&C more than welcome! Please remember this is but a drabble... The main story will be much, much better, I promise ^^;
PS: Sorry for the layout, I'm seeing if I can find something better for reading, that's still cute enough...

"It's not gonna work, we'll have to get back."
"B-b-but… teacher s-said we have to-"
"Look, I'm not gonna strain something for that old goat. You can stay here if you're too afraid, but I'm going to-"
"Oh, shut up you two… lets see if we can go around, okay?"
"Pffft… Do we have to?"
"Teacher s-s-said that we-"
"Oh, shut up about that old geezer!"
"B-b-b-bu-"
"WHAT THE CRAP IS THAT?!"
The students standing in front of the blockade turned around at the sound of Insel's raised voice. Right behind them there stood a… thing. It seemed to be made from fresh - and less fresh - flesh. Its teeth were long and sharp, its multiple eyes were at the sides, front and back of the head, and what seemed like rather random places in the body. It was drooling, or rather leaking something that looked a lot like blood, and its claws were unlike anything they had ever seen. They stared at it with a mixture of horror and awe.
"Holy crap, he made one…"
The two students standing behind the abomination stared at it as well. The taller one, a boy, kept mumbling with a slight look of worry and his hands in fists, while his female companion just stared with eyes full of glee.
"Cool…" she whispered softly. "Can you make me one when you're done?"
"Hush," he hissed. "I'm concentrating… Can you make them move? They're in the way."
"Just walk over them."
"Don't wanna get into trouble… Can you, please?" His fists clenched together tighter while his eyelids fluttered slightly. She sighed.
"Alright. HEY, YOU!" The boys at the other side of the creature looked at her with hesitation. "Come over here, Ryo wants to use the pretty thing to move the trees… HURRY!" she added when they didn't seem to want to move. They quickly slid past the undead and hid behind their fellow students.
"Did he really-"
"Yes, now hush. It's not easy to make a minion, you know."
"It's b-b-b-b-b-"
"Big?"
"Yes…that."
"Will you SHUT IT?" They almost jumped at the sound of Ryousei's deep, raw voice. They looked at the normally gentle boy and automatically took a step back. His eyes seemed to have gotten darker, his face paler, his expression beyond determination.
"…Ryo…?" Natasya asked, worried. "You okay?" Ryousei didn't look at his friend, but continued to mumble the spell he was casting.
"Now go," he whispered and stretched his arm towards the trees that blocked their path. The creature crawled towards them, grunted, and lifted the trees out of the way like it was nothing. The students stared with their mouths open.
"Thank you," Ryousei said softly, letting go of the spell. The creature fell apart right away, resulting in a big pile of rotting flesh, bones and… wood?
"…Are those branches?" Insel asked. Ryousei fell down on his knees and tried to catch his breath. After a moment he looked up, blinking his eyes against the sun.
"Ugh… I feel terrible…" He glanced at the fleshy mess and nodded. "Yeah, I didn't have enough bones to keep him up otherwise." Natasya sighed deeply.
"That was so cool… Hey, can you still walk?" She looked down with a worried frown. "You look awful."
"I feel awful," Ryousei said and got up, resting on his classmates. "I never knew it was so damn energy consuming to keep such a big minion alive." He stretched and yawned. "Ah well, at least now I know. Shall we continue? We have to get back by dark if we don't want our grades to fall." Natasya supported him as they walked past the leftovers of his first minion.
"…Ryousei…?" Insel's voice sounded a bit frightened. The boy turned around and raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah?"
"Uhm… We've uhm… I mean…" Insel took a deep breath and blushed a bit. "S-sorry I called you a freak… You're cool." Natasya chuckled as Ryousei gave him a smirk.
"Heh, it's okay. But if you do it again I might have to make another minion to punish you." The children all laughed and continued their journey together.
"Hey Ryo?"
"Yeah, Tash?"
"…You rule." Ryousei smiled.
"Thanks, but I'm not making you a pet undead cat."
"That's okay…"
"…Or a bunny."
"Crap."
