Vegas: Part Deux

Apr 04, 2004 22:15

If you haven't heard me talk about Vegas, then you obviously haven't been talking to me recently because it was one of the BEST times I've ever had!

Day 1: Tuesday, March 23

Arrived at the Las Vegas airport and as we exited the gates we encountered what else but slot machines. Tien happened to have a nickel on her so she put it in and won $2.50 just like that. A sign of good things to come. After checking into the Monte Carlo, the four of us (me, Tien, Michelle, & Drew) had a big meal at the Monte Carlo Pub & Brewery. Lemme tell ya, I've never seen a bigger thing of honey mustard! =P Finally satisfying our bellies, we wandered the casino area, gambled a bit, and continued on to the Belagio to watch the fountain show. Oh! We also bumped into Keith, the guy who won Paradise Hotel!! As we walked passed him, Michelle got way excited and yelled "Hey! Paradise Hotel!" so he stared at us. Hehe. Onward to Bally's & Paris where we gambled some more and got free drinks! Next we stopped by New York New York and hit up the Bar at Times Square. It was cool because everyone was so drunk and singing along to the piano guy. Hey Dreeew! Don't make it bad...Take a sad song and make it better. I love how you can't tell time in Vegas! Party all the time! Paahn-cakes! Squishie!

Day 2: Wednesday, March 24

Woke up to the sun, amazing I know. Tien (day mom) had to motivate the rest of us to get out of bed to go down to the pool. Tanned from 10am-4pm. Oh yeah. The wave pool & easy river were amusing although I am pretty sure Michi & Drew had the best time because they stole someone's innertubes! Doro, there was no bar in the pool but there were cocktail waitresses that brought you drinks...hope that suffices =P After wearing ourselves out from the sun, we went to Aladdin in search of dinner and gorged on free chips & salsa before our food even came out. Decided to check out the Palms hotel (yep, the one that was on Real World: LV) so we had to catch a taxi over. There was a line of girls for the Ghostbar which we joined. Drew was a freekin pimp in that elevator up to the top floor: him and ~10 girls. We get there and the view is amazing. Soon we realized that there is limited free seating and most areas have been paid & reserved. This irked us because it was way too windy to sit outdoors so what do we do? Drink some more and forget about it! Actually this part is kinda cool...I tell Michelle that I think I saw Xzibit, but she didn't think it was him. While I was in the bathroom, I heard them play the Xzibit song "Choke me, spank me, pull my hair" and thought to myself that would be crazy if that was really him earlier. I got back to the group and they revealed that Xzibit and Nicholas Cage just walked by them! Wooo, the night was getting even better. Michelle and I walked around to find Xzibit to take a pic w/him since we missed our golden opportunity to take one w/Keith. I tapped him on his shoulder and next thing I knew we were being whisked away to their seating area. After taking a picture with him, Michelle and I plopped down, yay for free seating.

After some more nickel slots at the Palm, we caught a cab ride back home to good ol' Monte Carlo. Michi passed out as soon as she hit the bed, and Tien slowly dozed off as she watched TV. Mine & Drew's tummies took over and led us to the MC Cafe w/24-hour breakfast!! It was delicious, and when we got back to the room, Michelle somehow was awaken and cursed up a storm that we had eaten w/o her. "What the fuck? You guys went to eat? I'm fucking hungry and you guys didn't even fucking wake me up!!!" It was funny.

Day 3: Thursday, March 25 :: All-Nighter & Dan Rainey's 21st!

Again, poolside from 10 am-4 pm. Worked hard on our tans...we wanna be "dark like Drew." We then went to the store and bought some souvenirs including some fly LV visors, teehee. After that we were Caesar's bound in search of the palace guards. We looked everywhere for them and even asked people who worked at the hotel where to find them. Eventually we gave up and were on our way out when who appears but Caesar, Cleopatra, and the guards. Snagged a quick picture and left to meet the boys at the Imperial Palace. Said happy bday to Dan and then continued w/our important sightseeing at the Venetian where Drew took a bunch of pics of the gondolas and I groped Michael Jordan. As we were about to return to our room, we had the brilliant idea of buying little bottles of liquor downstairs in order to prefunk. It was hilarious but a "you had to be there moment" when we were trying to each order our bottles: how much is so-and-so, can we have one of those, how much is that one, we need two of those, etc. We were totally holding up the line but it was all good because the people behind us were mostly buying beers anyway. We got dolled up, prefunked, and got our butts down to the MGM's Studio 54. So many people were in Vegas for Spring Break and it was no surprise when I ran into my AKPsi buddy while dancing. Small world, I always see that guy at parties so it was only fitting that he was there on our last night. After we were done shakin our groove thangs, we hung out at the bar inside the Dome, w/a DJ spinning some good-ass music. As the four of us sat down, two guys approached Drew and started talking to him. They asked him if any of us were his girlfriends, and if not if it was okay for them to talk to us. Hahah! They ended up sitting down w/us and buying us some drinks, very nice guys. I got a lil too happy off of the chardonnay. Dan, Tyler & Scott met up w/us there so it was purdy fun. I got the gambling itch mid-way thru and stood up in search of the perfect slot machine. Stuck in a dollar that we had found on the floor of the club in a quarter slot and.....ended up winning $80 on my first spin. Woohoo! It took a lot of discipline especially while being intoxicated, but I cashed out and ran back to the group. Dan was freekin drunk and disappeared for awhile. Scott finally got a hold of him on his cell and when questioned on where he had gone, he said "I was here the whole time." Haha, drunk people. We said our goodbyes and walked out the door, where we see that the sky is light; we had successfully pulled off our all-nighter.

Day 4: Friday morning, March 26

It's all kind of a blur but somehow we got ourselves to the airport. Our taxi driver was some crazy lady who forced us to say "please" because she was teaching us manners. Stupid ho. Yeeeahh, okaaay. Finally we landed after a bunch of S-curves and what seemed like such a long flight. I am still recovering from the trip....it was that much fun!
