There's gonna be nightmares tonight
Oh. My. God.
I just finished reading Battle Royale. That is one crazy manga, holy crap. I meant it when they don't pull punches, and in my opinion, there were way too many page spreads. There's only so many times I need to see someone's brain come out of their heads in detail.
But I'm just being picky I guess. There were actually some chapters I read through my fingers, as if it were a horror movie - just like the sissy I am. I was seriously freaked - Kiriyama was one crazy bastard. And as much as I liked Shuuya, I don't think there was a character I wanted to kick in the head more. It's fine to have hope, but come on. I think my favorite character was Kawada - he's kind of awesome.
Part of me wants to see the movie, but I know I wouldn't be able to handle that. I might try to pick up the novel though.
