These past few days have sucked
I'm not even kidding.
The day before yesterday I was helping Devon get ready for school when he said his ear hurt really badly. He's had problems with his ear before - he had to get tubes put in, so I knew it was serious. My cousin came over to babysit since I had class and both of my parents were already at work. When my mother and I got home, however, Devon was screaming and crying about how much his ear hurt, so we decided to take him to the hospital. When we got there, around 4, the waiting room was packed and everyone was wearing a face mask. My mother filled out a card and we waited. It took 4 HOURS just for Devon to get into triage, which is only a basic checkup. During those four hours Devon's fever shot up - even his breath was hot - he was near convulsions. After triage, it took another two hours for Devon to actually see a doctor. We didn't out of the hospital until after 11.
Then yesterday, I went to the pharmacy with Devon as soon as it opened to drop off his prescription. When I went to pick it up, they told me they couldn't fill it because they couldn't read the doctor's name. Seriously. Then I was getting sick. It felt like someone was stabbing me in the temples while simultaneously punching me in the forehead - I couldn't even think straight. It was horrible.
My mother ended up getting Devon's medicine by going back to the hospital, and he's feeling alot better today, but I'm still a mess. My headache isn't as bad a yesterday, but now my throat hurts, I feel congested, and my ear hurts. I hate being sick.
Also, I want to say sorry to hibarik_youya - I know I said I'd be online yesterday, but I was feeling so bad I got sent to bed really early. (The NyQuil kinda helped to)
