This was another easy one - Yukino Miyazawa from Kare Kano. Like Yukino, a lot of the reason I did so good in school was because I liked to be praised. I liked the feeling that I was "#1". It's embarrassing to admit, but true. I was also able to identify with the fact that my school self and home self were completely different. And just like Yukino, even though I grew out of being so self-centered I felt lost, because I didn't think there was anything other than academics that I was good at. Of course, I don't have someone like Arima with me, but I've always felt like Yukino and I were very similar.
Also, if you haven't read/watched Kare Kano, I'd definitely recommend it~!
