Devon can be so mean to me sometimes
He's pretty snarky for a 10-year-old.
We were walking home from summer camp today when he started hitting me:
Me: Why are you hitting me so hard? You should respect your elders.
Devon: Well, you should respect your youngers!
Me: No no no, that's not how it works - you should respect those older than you, and I've got 12 years on you.
Devon: Actually, it's eleven.
Me: Eleven, twelve, I'm still older than you.
Devon: Yeah, way older.
Me: alkdhsdhfskd don't say that!
Devon: But it's true.
Me: Shut up! What if I start calling you a baby?
Devon: So? I'll always be mommy's baby. You too...her old baby.
Me: ALDHSHDFSHF
Devon: You're older than you look. (now he's laughing uncontrollably) Imagine if a 16-year-old guy came up to you thinking you're the same age and asks you out. And then when he finds out your age it breaks his heart. (keeps laughing)
