THE DEPARTED...not so fucking great.
It was okay. Just okay, and that's probably because I really like Leonardo Dicaprio as an actor. And I probably think it's okay because of the hype it recieved.
But am I the only person who was unimpressed with this year's movie of the year, The Departed? Aside from a good cast, I don't see what's the big fucking deal. It's long, drawn out, and ends with a great sense of unfulfillment. The only good thing about it aside from the actors, was the character development - and that's expected considering the movie was 2 and a half hours long.
And - Spoiler Alert (not really because it doesn't spoil anything): What the fuck is with the baby? Is it Damons or Dicaprios? We never hear about it again.
And concerning the rat at the end of the movie : Horrible. Did Scorsese think it would be clever? I'm not sure whether to give a sarcastic "Braaaaavooo!" or simply just "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!"
