We went for Chinese food and the library afterschool. Was nice, nice day. We got home at like 8:00pm like yesterday. Aaron had made a wish at the fountain with the really pretty statues in the middle. I wonder what it was (he had made it so quickly ;\) He probably wishes for small things, like "new mp3 player plz" type of stuff. :p Curiousityyyyyy.

Stuff you don't care about (Appleseed movie rant):
I finally got my Appleseed movie in the mail (ugh, took 11 days to get here)
It was definitely a few steps up above that horrible first movie they did, but it wasn't as awesome as I was hoping it'd be, but since I'm a fan (rare thing) I'm ecstatic they made it at all. Since no one has seen it, there's no point in bitching about it on here.
But I will anyway! First of all, reference images.

Movie version:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v483/celopesta/012.jpg 1) I was hoping that big gray thing attacking Deunan in the trailers was Briareos in a cool red-striped suit/upgraded armor of some sort. Instead they were some stupid flunky attack robots.
2) The plot was cliche and painful, and they sort of made ES.W.A.T a bitchy police force. I liked how they did the Landmates, and I'm pretty pleased with the japanese voices for the characters.
3) As for the english, Briareos' voice is alright, but only alright, and Deunan's voice is GIRLY. What were they thinking? Here's a young woman that was scoring reputation points during World War III, was pretty much raised by a man, likes guns mechs and knives, has HORRIBLE fashion sense, and wore an eyepatch for 1/4th of the manga. She's supposed to be a hotheaded bitch, not an insecure girly girl.
4) The whole pendant(drgjjjj) thing that her mom gave her (ugh ugh! Mom? She had one?) and making the "Appleseed" something more than what it actually was (from literal apple seed from Briareos' back pocket to some sort of world-altering sought-after thingy) was just... eh.
5) They were pulling villains out of their ass.
6) In the manga, Briareos and Deunan didn't really trust anyone other than themselves in the city. In the movie they were pretty awkward around each other, the whole pointman+marksman/lovers/long time comrades in the war/mentor/whatever wasn't there. Lame.
