We have christmas! [He grins over the camera] But I don't know what a secret santa is!

[He pauses as he thinks] Wait, don't you give gifts in January not December? [He grins again]

It sounds fun though!

A secret Santa is when you put everyone's name in a hat and everyone picks one and then you need to buy a gift for that person! That way you only need to buy one person a gift and not everyone and everyone gets the same number of gifts!

No silly, you give gifts on December 25th! That's Christmas!

[spiritsup]

Oh that's a good idea! I wanna do that!

[He shakes his head] No on christmas you are meant to go to church and have a special meal but you give presents later in January, the... [He counts] sixth day after the year changes. Because that's when the wise men got to Jesus!

[princesspowaful]

I've never heard about that before! But we don't go to church or do anything about Jesus really, it's all about presents and food and family.

[spiritsup]

Oh [He frowns] But isn't christmas meant to be Jesus' birthday? That's like... if no one came to say happy birthday to you and just went and had fun without you on your birthday.

[He looks sad but then he smiles again] We should make special food! Miss France can help us, I am sure she will if we ask her nicely!

But Jesus isn't here so why do we gotta do something for his birthday! That's like having a party for me when I'm not going to be there, that's just silly! But since we know he's not gonna be around because he's never around then we can just have fun for ourselves and not worry about him!

What should we make?

Well he is here, because he watches the whole world from heaven!

Panettone! [He frowns] I don't know how to make it though, I only had it once at Doctor Casella's but he told me that it was what everyone in Milano ate at christmas. It's a cake... maybe we can find a recepie in the library!

But he's not here-here! Just away here, so he can't really enjoy it!

I dunno what panttone is but we can make lotsa cakes!

But I bet he does enjoy it really!

Panttone is cake, with dried fruit and stuffs, it's tasty. What do you eat on christmas Molly?

But I don't wanna have fruits in my cake! We usually have ham and potatoes and cookies and cake and just a lot of food that's not healthy!

Fruit in cake is nice! [He grins] That all sounds nice! We can make that!

I want chocolate in my cake, that's much better than fruit in my cake! Chocolate is always better than fruit! But we can make both if you really want it.

Well we never had chocolate in Milano but that's tasty too... we can make both!
