Signless sat in one of the pews on the huge cathedral-like floor, waiting for his message to be noticed and hoping that those he called would show up.

He knew he had to get this going, anyway. He didn't need that fishy bitch to shame him into it, so it's not like he only came here because she was disappointed in him. It stuck in his wind-tube that she'd probably interpret it that way, though.

Taiki entered the thirteenth floor nervously. He was still wrapped in Gyousou's cloak, despite the fact it looked silly, being so big while he was so small. But it was the only reminder of his king he had, so he was wearing it.

He looked around and saw the man he was meant to meet. He was a troll, an adult one like the troll that had tried to kill him. Taiki bit his lip and walked forwards nervously.

Signless sat up in the pew as he sensed someone coming towards him, then got up and shrugged his own cloak back to bare his shoulders as Taiki approached. The child looked incredibly nervous, and he was pretty sure he could guess which one this was.

He tried to smile to put Taiki at ease, though he did have a lot of very sharp teeth, so it might not have worked.

"Taiki, I'm guessing?"

Taiki nodded slowly. "Yes... I'm Taiki..." The teeth didn't scare him actually, he was used to Youma and Shirei, "Pleased to meet you SS...sorry is that... your real name?"

He blinked, then laughed. "No, that's not my real name. You can call me Signless. Or SS if you prefer, but generally only Psi calls me that. I'm guessing you've been talking to him?"

"Oh... sorry that is just... what I saw some others calling you... I don't know Psi sorry..." He shuffled his feet. "Sorry... Pleased to meet you Signless."

"Huh, I thought only Psi called me that. You sure you haven't met him? Lisping bugger with four horns. Taller than me." He held a hand over his head about half a foot. Okay, maybe only four inches. He didn't like to think about how goddamn short he was.

He grinned and gestured to the pew where he'd been sitting. "Pleased to meet you, kid. Have a seat."

"Sorry..." Taiki said shuffling his feet again, "I never met anyone like that..."

He sat down nervously clutching his cloak around him. "Thank you."

"Well, you probably will," he said with a shrug, sliding into the pew next to the kid and leaning back comfortably. "And you'll probably get along with him."

He paused, then glanced at Taiki. "I want to try to get you into the elevator, so you can open the door from the inside and let the rest of us in. Then we have to figure out a way to get it to go down. If you're still willing to help, that is."

Taiki gave a tentative smile and nodded, "I am sure he is very nice." He listened carefully and nodded.

"I can do that! I want to help." He paused and then his eyes flickered uncerainty. "Are... are you going to fight them?"

"If I have to," Signless said, glancing at Taiki out of the corner of his eye. "After what they did to all of us, I can't assume that they'll be interested in negotiation."

Taiki nodded nervously, "I...understand..." And though he really wanted to try and plead with Signless to handle this non violently he did understand and anyways Signless was not his king, he did not have to listen to Taiki.

Talking of which, "I... I'm sorry... If there is fighting... I... I wont be able to fight... I can help... get you there but I can only... I can only commit violence on order of my king..." Not that he wanted to commit violence, ever the mere thought made him want to throw up and he hugged Gyousou's cloak tighter around him.

"I understand," Signless said without hesitation. "I'd never ask someone to fight if they weren't up to it. And no offense, but you're not the most intimidating alien I've ever seen. I think we can manage to deal with any violence that comes up without you throwing yourself into the fray."

Taiki nodded again and stared at his feet, "I know... I'm sorry... I'm not really that useful..."

He didn't look up but took another nervous breath, though this troll had been nice to him Taiki didn't want him thinking he was completely useless.

"Also... if... if you do fight," Which he hoped they wouldn't, he wanted to bury his head in the cloak as well but instead just drew it even tighter around him, "If... if there is blood... I might... Kirin get ill when there is blood. You don't... have to worry Sanshi can help me but... I thought you might need to know." Instead of Taiki just fainting on them, which wouldn't really be helpful at all.

"Sorry..."

"Are you kidding? You're the lynchpin of the whole operation." He rested a hand on Taiki's shoulder. "How about this. You get us into the elevator and get the door open. After that, you just go off and do whatever Kirin like to do when they're not helping in something incredibly, stupidly dangerous. What happens after that, you won't be there to get sick or hurt."

Taiki gave a tiny smile at that and nodded, he felt a little bad about helping them get somewhere dangerous and then leaving them to it, but it was the best he could help. "Thank you," he said quietly.
