I really wish my parents would stop being obnoxious to my friends on the phone. Every single time, they think it's so halarious. They can't be like normal parents, where if someone calls for their son/daughter, they say "yes, one moment please." or something equally polite.
No, my parents have to say the most annoying and obnoxious thing they can think of, even if it's only an acquaintance.
Prime example: Bo calls my housee (this was a long time ago). My dad answers. He says "hey, is Amanda there?" My dad: "I'M NOT BUYING IT!!!"
Not convinced? The other day, Rose calls my house. My parents are already talking when I get on. Both of them, in fact. At once. Rapidly. My mother, apparently from over my dad's shoulder yells "Rose, Rose, that's a nice name!!" (one of her favorite quotes whenever Rose is around from You've Got Mail).
Anyone else have this problem?
