I liked this. It was funny as all heck and made me giggle while reading on my break. ;)

I don't agree with the previous comment that you were coming across as "sexist" or "homophobic" though. I get that they're all joking and it's a comic piece and while I don't know you, the comedy comes across quite clearly. While a certain sensitivity is always needed, I don't think we should be neutering ourselves completely for the sake of making every character in a story "politically correct." Sometimes they're not and that's not because they're homophobic or bigots or whatnot. The notion of marriage encompassing more than the traditional husband/wife role is fairly new and again, they're just joking.

Believe me, I've seen enough effeminate!Danny in badfics to last me a lifetime and your Danny certainly isn't that at all. You've got him recognizably in character and hilariously funny and Steve, bless you, is shown to be not a rockheaded goon but the Navy SEAL that he is. And it's refreshing that Steve's coming out to a fellow SEAL is treated in such a true-to-character way. Not all military people are homophobes and for many of them, who you're shagging is less important in the field than knowing that you have a buddy who has your back no matter what.

Again, loved it! :)

Thank you very much for your comment. I think that's always an important part of this dynamic too; to show that not everyone associated with the military is overly conservative or homophobic. I was so excited when I campaigned against DADT and was able to see it repealed because I actively believe that the DADT repeal actually causes a team or squad to function better, and more companionably. Trust is important when your job has the risks that it does in the military.
And Steve's just a great guy at any rate :)
Thanks again for your comment!
