I bought a used iPhone from a friend who upgraded (to quote the IT Crowd, "I can get an iPhone without giving any money to Apple! I'll be living the dream!"), and I am having so much fun. This is my first smartphone so I'm all "apps! MORE APPS!" Theres an app for Cracked.com, and fanfiction.net? oh I am so fucked XD now I will never stop playing with this thing!
Also I just put in a reservation from booking.com for someone named "Celeste Royal". Why the princess of Canterlot and all of Equestria wants to stay at a Best Western, I'll never know.
In other news, I blew out my eardrum a week ago and haven't been able to hear right from that one since. It feels like when you're on an airplane and your ear pops, or you've got water in it. Its very distracting but I cant afford to see a doctor. Internet says it'll take 1-2 months to heal. So thats fun.
And finally, I am utterly defeated by the very concept of smoke. I can't animate smoke. its too hard. And I tried for HOURS. Nine straight hours yesterday, and I'll try again some more today. SO much for being good at effects animation. But I guess if I were doing it professionally, I wouldn't have to work it around another class and my full time job. Still, this is when I should be building my portfolio, and I can't get anything good IN it because after I learn from my mistakes, I don't get a chance to go back and redo the project, because I just don't have time. So I fear I'm just accruing a mountain of financial aid debt and I'll never be able to pay it off with any kind of work in the field I studied for. Matt's got two degrees, and hes got an interview tomorrow for pizza delivery. I fear we will never be successful.
