(no subject)
Critique was today for our fairy tale comics. I got a lot of compliments on mine- I'm very pleased. One person even said to me, "Way to raise the bar, Shen!" which made me giddy. I'm so shy in class, when people talk about my work I must turn bright red with embarrassment. Not everyone else had finished theirs, or it was hard to understand, but I have to take into account that I've been drawings comics for five years and taken several classes on the subject, while some of my classmates are freshmen. In five years maybe I'll have peaked and they'll go on and be better than me. Who can tell?
Now my biggest concern is how to take a dialogue heavy comic like mine and make it into a probably silent animation, as I have no experience adding sound to animation yet (I'll play with that this summer.)
Its still in my studio now but later I'll scan it (or take a photo, its pretty big) so everyone can see. Haven't busted out my Prismacolors in a while.
I think I need an "art" icon.
tomorrow I usually have off but we have a field trip. Friday we abnormally have off this week, but I have to come in for a conference with my teacher. She'll probably yell at me for never writing my papers (I'll do them this weekend).
